The new set-neck Guthrie Govan Signature Model is a stripped down version of the original GG Signature without the Flame Maple top and matching headstock. Guthrie had mentioned that it might be cool to have something that was more “Nuno”-like so that he didn’t have to worry about it getting dinged or scratched. When the idea for a set-neck Modern hatched several months ago, it made sense to develop a set-neck version of the GG Signature as Guthrie envisioned.

The set-neck is a completely different beast. The neck joint has been designed from bottom-up to maximize contact between the neck and the body with a long tendon that extends to below where the neck humbucker lies. The way this guitar rings and sustains is unreal.

New 2010 Pro Series models of Suhr Guitars are making their way to Supersound Music. The new guitars are based on the Classic T and Classic S models, model numbers C1 and C2, T1 and T2, respectively (Strat and Tele shapes). The bodies are shaped a bit differently for more of a Classic feel.
